Description
Sinai is one of those limestones that photographs beautifully and performs even better in person. Its soft grey tones sit in that versatile range between warm and cool, complementing rendered walls, timber decking, garden beds and water features without fighting for attention. The sandblasted and tumbled finish gives it the kind of aged, worn-in quality that looks like it belongs, whether the project is brand new or part of an older home.
The finish does practical work too. Sandblasting opens up the surface texture, delivering strong slip resistance underfoot. Combined with the stone's low heat absorption, it stays cool on bare feet on a 35-degree Melbourne afternoon, which makes it a natural choice for pool surrounds and outdoor entertaining areas. Salt resistance means it holds up in pool environments without the surface degrading over time.
Sinai comes in more formats than most. Tiles are available in 900 x 600, French pattern, Provincial pattern and free lengths, all at 20mm. Pool coping comes in square edge and dropface profiles (900 x 400 x 30mm, with a 50mm dropface option). There are also cobbles at 100 x 100 x 20mm and batons at 200 x 50 x 20mm for feature borders, pathways or smaller accent areas. Crazy paving is available for a more informal look. Custom cutting, bullnosing and stonemasonry work is available through the team if your project needs something different.
