Porphyry Filetti

Filetti is the most distinctive format in the porphyry range. The name refers to the elongated shard shape - each piece is a split-faced, free-length sliver of Italian porphyry running 150-300mm long and 60-100mm wide, with a split face on all sides. The narrow, irregular form is designed primarily for use as a border or edging element, typically laid on edge to frame crazy paving, cobblestone areas or garden beds with a defined, textured border that uses the same stone as the broader paved surface.

At 30-50mm thick and with all the density and hardness of porphyry, filetti are well suited to high-traffic edging applications including driveway borders and path margins. The split face finish is naturally non-slip and requires no sealing or surface treatment to maintain.

Like the rest of the porphyry range, filetti carry the full natural colour palette of the stone - purples, reds, greys and greens varying across pieces - and age well without fading or surface deterioration.
