Description
Bluestone crazy paving suits projects where a formal grid layout would feel out of place. Cottage gardens, curved pathways, informal pool surrounds and naturalistic outdoor spaces all benefit from the irregular joints and organic shapes that crazy paving produces. The finished surface looks like it grew out of the ground rather than being placed on it.
The stone itself is the same consistent-quality bluestone as the rest of the Yarrabee range, sourced from the same quarry for over 25 years. The charcoal-grey tone holds its depth across the surface, with the subtle "cat paw" markings that are characteristic of this material adding variation without noise. At 20mm thick, it's high density, durable and rated for driveways as well as standard paving and pool areas.
Because each piece is irregular, the laying process involves more labour than tile formats, but the result is a surface that reads as genuinely handcrafted. It pairs well with the standard bluestone tiles, coping and cobbles from the same range if a project mixes formal and informal areas.
