Description
Mawson is a limestone wall cladding in a light base tone, with occasional hints of amber and brown running through the stone. Pieces up to 400mm across sit together without coursing, chipped on five sides and sawn flat on the back for straightforward installation.
As a random format, it can be dry-stacked or grouted depending on the finish you want. Dry-stacked brings out the rugged texture of the stone, while grouted gives a tighter, more finished look. Matching L-shaped corners are available up to 250mm. Walling is supplied in 10m² crates, corners in 25 lm crates.
Mawson is laid in a large scale wall display in our showroom, come in to see it up close and pick up a free sample!

FAQ's
How is Mawson installed?
Pieces are sawn flat on the back and applied to a suitable substrate using standard stone adhesive. As a random format, it can be dry-stacked or grouted depending on the finish you want. Corner units come in L-shapes and interlock to give the appearance of a solid structural wall. Our installation guide covers the full process.
Can Mawson be used outdoors?
Yes. Mawson holds up well to outdoor exposure and is regularly used on exterior facades, retaining walls, and outdoor entertaining areas, as well as indoor applications like fireplaces and feature walls.
How much Mawson do I need to order?
Walling is packaged as 10m² per crate and corners as 25 lineal metres per crate, but these are packing references rather than fixed order quantities. We pack off to the exact m² or lm you need rather than requiring you to round up to a full crate. Measure the total wall area and subtract any openings, and order a small amount extra to account for cuts around corners.
Is Mawson dry stacked or installed with a grout line?
Both are common for this stone. Dry stacking brings out its rugged, natural texture and suits garden walls and outdoor entertaining areas. Grouted gives a tighter, more finished result that works well on interior feature walls and fireplace surrounds.
Can I see Mawson before ordering?
Yes. Mawson is on display in our Oakleigh East showroom at wall scale. Free samples are also available to take away. Showroom hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm and Saturday 9am - 3pm.
