Description
Ash is a light granite paving with a soft grey-white background speckled with black, giving it an even, understated tone that works across a wide range of residential and commercial settings. The surface is flamed - exfoliated under extreme heat to produce a flat, gritty texture with excellent slip resistance. That combination of light colour and textured finish makes Ash a natural fit for pool surrounds, where heat absorption matters as much as grip. Light-coloured granite stays noticeably cooler underfoot than darker stone on hot days, which is worth considering for barefoot areas around pools and alfresco paving.
Beyond pool coping, Ash suits driveways, pathways, stair treads and general outdoor paving. It's salt tested and cleared for use with salt chlorination systems, resistant to staining and scratching, and requires minimal maintenance once laid. For projects requiring a honed finish - indoor flooring, for example - Ash is available as a project stone by special order.
The format range covers tiles from 600×300mm through to 1000×500mm, step tread copers, dropface copers in both 50mm and 70mm drop face profiles, batons and cobblestones in sawn or tumbled edge. Custom sizing is available through our local cutting and stonemasonry services.
